In Microsoft Outlook, the Out of Office Assistant can notify users who send you mail that you are out of the office and cannot reply immediately. But in Microsoft Outlook only end users only access to the Out of Office Assistant.
Tools4ever’s Out of Office Manager Tool (OOMT) is an application that allows administrators to view the Out-of-Office settings for user accounts throughout the network and modify these settings where they see fit, without the need to use the login details of the user in question. Administrators can select the domain or OU for the Out-of-Office information they want to view directly from Active Directory. OOMT collects this information and offers administrators the possibility to modify Out-of-Office messages and/or have e-mail messages forwarded to another mailbox.

In case of an unforeseen absence of an employee, administrators can modify the Out-of-Office settings at will and have e-mail messages sent to an employee who is able to provide a response. In this way, urgent questions from customers and relations can be handled directly instead of sitting unanswered in a mailbox.
